Cindy is a current In Home Educator with Connections In The Home in Somerville, Howick, having joined us in May 2014.
Starting my journey as an In Home Educator, I was feeling excited but at the same time somewhat hesitant, unsure what to expect. Having just moved to NZ from South Africa, the whole concept of the job was different to what I had experienced before. I called around a few Home-based companies, and it was the friendly and efficient response that I received from Connections in the Home that decided it all for me.
I met with Sarah and Vicki and within two weeks, I was signed up, prepared and ready to begin with kids on my roll. The Connections team made it extremely easy to co-ordinate my own business by providing payroll, resources, equipment, outings, paperwork, personal development and lots of helpful advice.
I love the open, inspiring spirit at Connections. The team and educators are so generous in sharing ideas, advice, resources, stories and hugs are free whenever needed. The communication through our private Facebook page is extremely helpful when it comes to planning activities/outings for our kiddies, and helps to cement the 'team' feeling.
Connections In The Home has provided a positive and caring environment for me to base my business in.
