Liza's Story - from Mum to Educator with Connections!

'Exactly two years ago, I had to return to work after giving birth to my first and only child. He was only four months old and thinking of sending him to day care broke my heart. I asked so many people if there was anyone or anywhere they could recommend?  It was one of my sisters friends who HIGHLY recommended I get in contact with 'Connections In The Home' and even sent me the website link. She said she had her little one in so many different places and homes and he would just not settle! When he started with an Educator from Connections In The Home, they noticed a difference within the first two weeks. He was a different child, so happy and content. Sounded good to me, so gave the number a call. 

The friendly voice of Sarah who answered my call was so refreshing. Sarah and I spoke on the phone and I remember getting off the phone and telling my husband, "That was such a nice call, we spoke like we knew each other".

Sarah came over to our house, meet myself, baby and husband. Reassured us and recommend an Educator for us. One visit to the Educator (Suzi) and the deal was done. I couldn`t believe it and thought this seems all to good and easy to be true. A year and a half later he was still at Suzi`s and we NEVER had any issues or problems. Our precious baby has blossomed into a gorgeous happy, polite and well mannered little boy. Suzi fell pregnant and it was while she was on maternity leave, I spoke to her about becoming an Educator myself. She only had positive and good things to say.

This got me thinking........

I called the office and spoke to Vicki, she came over to speak to me. Within a month, I resigned from a job and company I really enjoyed working for to start my new career with Connections In The Home. I take care of 3 little ones and my son. When I see those little smiley faces in the morning, my whole body just lightens up. They are so precious and gorgeous.

This has honestly been the best decision (job wise) I have made. I keep asking myself why did I not do this earlier? The Connection`s team are just amazing. Vicki and Sarah do not only know every child and child's name name but they do their absolute best to get to know the parents and their names too. Everyday there is an activity on (free of charge) for the children and Educators to enjoy. Melissa and Debbie do home visits every month and give such wonderful ideas on how to help develop each child as an individual and will happily give advice on any question or queries. I joined the Connections team not really knowing many of the other Educators and now I am going on play dates and home play dates with many of them. They have all made me feel so welcome. It is such a nice feeling and makes me feel so good being surrounded by such fun and positive people and environment. I am so happy and just love my job.

What a life, working in the comfort of my own home with my little boy at my side. He has his mates around him during the week to play and learn with. I am making new friends. I know if I need assistance in regards to anything, Vicki and Sarah and the rest of the team are only a call away and they are there for me. I have all of this and getting paid for it!

Thank you Sarah and Vicki for making the children and educators your number one priority. You both are stunning and have a heart of gold, and it show's in what you have done and accomplished in only three years.'
